What to Expect at Ember Hands

Time Management

We are a small operation, and time is essential. A 15 minute window is built into every service to allow for the patient to speak with the therapist, time to get on and off the massage table, and to check out. This allows for the maximum amount of time on the table. Late arrivals will result in that time being taken from the massage. Please use the restroom on arrival.

Cancellation Policy

Massage Therapy is a journey that takes time. During that journey, your therapist will create a path that is right for your needs. Missing an appointment could impede that path. Please call at least 24hrs ahead to cancel, or reschedule appointments.

Chronic No Show & Same Day Cancellations

A missed appointment is an empty table, and valuable time that can be used to help others. After the third same-day cancellation, or no show, a 50% non refundable booking fee will be required for future services. After six repeated violations of the policy, a 100% non refundable booking fee will apply for future services.

Privacy and HIPAA

We uphold the highest standards in protecting patient information, keeping compliant with the latest policies in healthcare and protecting personal information.

Hygiene

Personal hygiene is important for both the patient and the therapist. Therapeutic grade, hypoallergenic, natural oils are used for each massage, which is best applied to clean skin, free of any self applied lotions or oils.

Ethics of Therapeutic Touch

Massage and Bodywork Therapy is a practice focused in healthcare and wellness. Patient comfort and safety are a top priority. Proper draping practices will always be used for any service. The safety and integrity of the therapist is equally important. Any hint of sexual misconduct, verbal or physical, will result in immediate termination of the patient/therapist privilege.

The Ember Hands Warning Label

This is a warning attached to services with extended time, or intense therapeutic application. During massage, the body releases metabolic waste products into the lymphatic system. This may result in fatigue, dizziness, or even nausea in extreme cases. Time to rest at the studio may be needed after the massage, or consider having a driver.

All Services are provided by North Carolina Licensed Massage and Body Work Therapists
